3D modeling, design, development
A quick sculpt of the Fear Tech Pig from Monster's U.
This was created for an Intro to Rigging class at the Academy of Art University. The class was about creating a complete character rig, and the animation was to show the rig was fully functional. We also needed to make sure the rig/setup matched the character we were creating. This character is an animated coffee bean, taken from a fictional story created for this class. Below are the original sketches for this character.
The design for the back of the 2009 FLIR corporate t-shirt.
This project allows students and staff to view online training courses, keep track of their progress, and management/signup for events within the research department. While UX designer was not my original task for this project, it became necessary when the original designs were not accomplishing the end goals, the main issue being the lack of a dashboard when the user entered the site. This is an example of a dashboard. Rather than focusing on a design, I broke it down into the elements that needed to be within the page to allow for a successful experience for the user, and worked inside-out towards a complete design.
This project was done for FLIR Systems, and was part of some video assets that were created to be used in a promotional video. The goal was to be able to show all 6 of these products together (something difficult to do due to the expense of the product) and how they're in the same family of products. They supplied me with CAD models, which I then textured, animated, and rendered within Modo 701.
This is my 3d modeling thesis for the Academy of Art University. Watch the final product directly above, and further down on the page you can read the background of the project and how it came about.
This piece was done for the Smashing Magazine "Redesign the Web, Redesign the World" poster competition. Created with a mixture of photography, Modo, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
This poster was created for the University of Oregon Garter Bands to advertise their end of the year concert for 2010. These were placed all over the University of Oregon campus, as well as local high schools in the area.
